Adam Grossel - Remedial Massage Therapist

G'day everyone.

Just wanted to tell you all a little bit about myself. Im 22 years old and live in Bossley Park, Fairfield. I'm currently studying nursing at the University of Western Sydney, my goal is to one day be a paramedic with the NSW Ambulance Service. I've also studied Remedial massage for two years and obtained a diploma from Meadowbank TAFE in 2006.

In my spare time I like to go to concerts and listern to music. I'm into all sports no matter what it is but I love football (soccer) and on weekends you'll usually find me either playing it, talking about it or cheereing on my Sydney FC boys!

I decided to become a massage therapist because in school I always loved learning about human anatomy, I seemed to understand it more then maths or english. I also wanted something where I could work with people and actually see the progress that I was making with them.

Thats why I love working at The Back Dr. Not only can I work with people and see their progress, I can work in an interdisciplnary environment where patients recieve holistic care that I know is first class. It's also great because I tend to learn something new every day that I work.

Scott Lloyd Owen - Remedial Massage Therapist

I've been a remedial massage therapist for over four years now and really enjoy my work. I completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage at Meadowbank Tafe in 2005 and am currently studying a Bachelor of Management in Sport an Exercise at UTS.

Im a keen rugby follower and play cricket in the summer, I love all sports and enjoy being fit and active. I also enjoy music and try and play the drums and the guitar in my spare time

I think the main reason i chose to become a massage therapist was because I am fascinated with how the human body works and i find it really cool that we are able to help people who really need it.

Terry - Remedial Massage Therapist

Hi my name is Terri. I was born in Japan and now live in Australia with my husband and my son. I love massage therapy and really enjoy releasing tight muscles.

I specialise and qualified in Aromatherapy, Hot Stones Therapy and Remedial massage.

I live my life being strong and healthy in life and truly enjoy helping people with my hands elbows and forearms.

When i'm not massaging I enjoy Kendo & Aikido (Japanese martial arts). I enjoy working at the Back Dr. because I can learn so much about other modalities to further my knowledge base.

I would like to extend all my services to you and look forward to helping you at The Back Dr. Ryde.

Tara Corcoran - Receptionist

Tara studied Fine Arts at University and has always had a passion for all forms of Art and Music. When she moved to Sydney from Bathurst and started job hunting, she knew she wanted a job where she would get to interact and to help people in some way..

When she met Doug and learned he needed a receptionist for his clinic she thought working at The Back Dr would be a great opportunity to work with a great team and to be part of helping people get healthy, active and recover from the pain that was stopping them enjoying life to the full.

She has been at the Back Dr since 2007 and is still enjoying being the receptionist and seeing first hand the benefits that chiropractic treatment, remedial massage and kinesiology makes to the many people who visit the clinic.
